Come Try a Class for Free
At Shaolin Wu Gong, we want every prospective student to try a class before signing up for membership with the school. By visiting with our instructors and participating in a trial class, each student will know what to expect and meet classmates in a classroom environment. We encourage a free class and the opportunity to explore what each new student wants to achieve in Shaolin Wu Gong.
Class Etiquette
- Bring a long-term view of your health objectives.
- Egos and aggression are not acceptable.
- Respect instructors and show courtesy to other classmates.
- Address instructors as “Shifu.”
- Teacher bow before entering and leaving the training area.
- Control yourself in techniques and sparring.
- Come to class without excuses.
- Leave the problems of the world outside of class.
- Focus your attention on your physical and mental development.
- Practice often, even at home, and be proud of your achievements.
Registration
We encourage every prospective student to try a free trial class. Reserve your trial class by calling us at 310-663-6688 or emailing us at info@losangeleskung-fu.com. You will receive an email confirming your class and time. We look forward to showing you each segment of our Shaolin Wugong program and the benefits of attending regularly.
Class Preparation
Please arrive before class starts, at least 20 minutes early, to change into your uniform and prepare for warm-up exercises. Uniforms are provided following registration. For the first week, please prepare workout clothing, socks, and kung fu style shoes. The instructor follows a sequence of exercises to warm up the body, build strength and flexibility, and prepare students for individual training and advancement.
The class is generally divided into two hours. The first hour includes all students participating in class training together. During the second hour, students focus on individual and personalized training. The instructor will pay close attention to each student’s progress, daily condition, and weekly and monthly improvement.
We encourage each student to bring a water bottle, small towel, and gym bag. Out of respect for your instructor, please allow 24 hours notice if you are going to be absent from class. Please also let instructors know about any limiting health conditions or ailments before each class so the class routine can be adjusted accordingly.
